Remember !

Depuis la grandiose fête de juin 2022 qui s’est déroulée à Paris sous la halle du Pavillon Baltard, chacun attendait le prochain anniversaire du Club en se demandant où il se déroulerait. Certains pensaient que les 75 ans se dérouleraient plus au sud, et ils avaient raison.
La réponse est arrivée à la fin de l’année 2024 par Étienne Dakiche, président de l’association A STILS: Ce sera au village du Club Med d’Opio en Provence, en avril 2025, et cerise sur le gâteau, l’événement se déroulerai sur 3 jours.

Préparer l’événement ne fut pas une mince affaire pour l’équipe organisatrice autour d’Etienne Dakiche. Pour reprendre la fameuse campagne des verbes de 1976, il a fallu à cette équipe : Négocier, Répondre, Gérer, Chercher, Rechercher, Trouver, Créer, Numériser…

Vous pensez bien, tous les anciens GO se sont précipités pour s’inscrire afin d’être présent, d’autant que l’évènement était largement partagé sur le différent groupe Club Med présent sur les réseaux sociaux.

Le jour J à partir de midi, même un peu avant pour certains impatiens, tout le monde était là. Certains étaient de la région, d’autres étaient d’un peu plus loin voire de très loin. Bref, avec 850 anciens GO présents, le village a fait le plein !

Puis la magie GO a opéré, en faisant le reste. Retrouvailles, Embrassades, Selfies au bord de la piscine ou au bar, photos de groupe, crazy signs autour de la piscine…

Durant ces 3 jours, l’animation, ainsi que la gestion de l’événement assurée par l’équipe organisatrice n’a pas failli. Tout le monde était sur le pont pour permettre à cette fête d’être réussie, et rentrer dans les anales des anniversaires du Club

Des temps forts ont maqué ces 3 jours, des jeux, de la musique et des chansons, des photos plénières, des tambourins et le spectacle final avec le discours de Serge Trigano qui nous a fait l’honneur d’être présent entouré d’un certain nombre de chefs de villages.

Remercions Étienne, Djamila, Joëlle, Malibu pour l’organisation et aussi pour l’animation Pierrot CHIQUERILLE (Pierrot la Tendresse), Jean-Pierre FRANQUIN, Stanley GORSSE et tous ceux qui ont participé de près ou de loin à l’organisation et la réussite de cette fête. Quant à votre serviteur qui écrit cet article, il a pris part à la diffusion des pré-annonces écrites ou filmées pour promouvoir l’événement sur les réseaux, de recherches d’archives vidéo et photo et leurs numérisations pour les soirées.
Remercions également le Club Med par Gino ANDREETA d’avoir permis la réalisation de ce rêve que chacun espérait.

Since the grand celebration in June 2022, which took place in Paris under the roof of the Pavillon Baltard, everyone has been waiting for the Club’s next anniversary, wondering where it would be held. Some thought that the 75th anniversary would take place further south, and they were right.
The answer came at the end of 2024 from Étienne Dakiche, president of the A STILS association: it will be at the Club Med village in Opio, Provence, in April 2025, and, to top it all off, the event will last three days.

Preparing for the event was no easy task for the organizing team led by Etienne Dakiche. To quote the famous 1976 verb campaign, the team had to: Negotiate, Respond, Manage, Search, Research, Find, Create, Digitize…

As you can imagine, all the former GOs rushed to register to be there, especially as the event was widely shared on the various Club Med groups on social media.

On the big day, from midday onwards, and even a little earlier for some impatient ones, everyone was there. Some were from the region, others were from a little further away, or even from very far away. In short, with 850 former GOs in attendance, the village was full to capacity!

Then the GO magic took over and did the rest Reunions, hugs, selfies by the pool or at the bar, group photos, crazy signs around the pool…

During these three days, the entertainment and event management provided by the organizing team was flawless. Everyone was on deck to make this celebration a success and ensure it went down in the annals of the Club’s anniversaries.

Highlights of the three days included games, music and songs, group photos, tambourines, and the final show with a speech by Serge Trigano, who honored us with his presence, surrounded by a number of village chiefs.

Let us thank Étienne, Djamila, Joëlle, and Malibu for the organization and also for the entertainment provided by Pierrot CHIQUERILLE (Pierrot la Tendresse), Jean Pierre FRANQUIN, Stanley GORSSE, and all those who participated in any way in the organization and success of this celebration. As for yours truly, who is writing this article, I took part in distributing written and filmed announcements to promote the event on social media, researching video and photo archives, and digitizing them for the evenings.
We would also like to thank Club Med, represented by Gino ANDREETA, for making this dream come true for everyone.
